BUDO KARATE

Student of the founder of SHOTOKAN karate, Gichin FUNAKOSHI Senseï  and co-founder of the first Japanese karate federation, the JKA,  _cc781905-5cde-3b94-bb 136bad5cf58d_who trained generations of very high-level instructors, Hidetaka NISHIYAMA settled in the United States and developed a coherent karate learning method where kata and kumite (combat) are closely linked, while maintaining a standard_cc781905-5cde -3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_high and refusing any compromise. For more than fifty years, until his death in 2008,  he was a source of inspiration for all practitioners attached to traditional karate. Today, many instructors around the world  help to preserve the teaching of sensei NISHIYAMA through different organizations and federations; ITKF, WTKF, WFF and of course WBKA.
